Islam Awareness Programme

The Islam Awareness programme supports schools in the teaching of Islam as part of the curriculum through the delivery of fun, interactive and informative workshops for pupils and staff. 

This includes: 

  • Assemblies, classroom workshops
  • Recources and materials such as prayer mats, Islamic dress wear and Islamic art activities
  • Sessions can be tailored to suit your educational needs

English as an Additional Language (EAL) Support Programme

The EAL programme provides schools assistance with EAL learners and families from bilingual backgrounds in order to promote integration and cohesion. 

The programme assists schools in the following: 

  • Providing one to one support for EAL pupils in schools
  • Help schools liaise with families

The Community Languages Programme

In partnership with EMTAS (Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service- Liverpool City Council) the following classes are available at our centre,

  • GCSE Arabic 
  • A Level Arabic 
  • GCSE Bengali 

Sessions are delivered by qualified and experienced teachers from EMTAS and run during the academic year September to June.

ESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages) Programme

The ESOL programme delivers classes for adults and children and young people.

The adult classes run throughout the academic year delivering sessions from beginner’s level to entry three. 

The children and young people’s ESOL sessions are delivered in partnership with LACES (Looked After Children’s Education Services- Liverpool City Council) specifically for unaccompanied young people and children in care who are referred by the LACES team until they find full time education provision at a school or college.

Adult Education Programme

The Adult Education programme delivers a variety of short and long courses at different times throughout the academic year with our many partners such as GTDT (Granby Toxteth Development Trust), Adult Learning Service (Liverpool City Council), WEA (Workers Educational Association)...

We deliver courses to our service users according to the availability of courses and the numbers of students.

Educational Advocacy Programme

The programme works closely with parents and advocates on their behalf at their children’s schools.

The programme also supports parents with the following:

  • School applications and making school preferences
  • School appeals
  • School meetings 
  • Contacting schools and City council on behalf of families

Arabic for non-Arabic speakers

This course is specifically designed for people wishing to learn the Arabic language. The course is delivered from beginner’s level to advanced. The course focuses on the four skills of Reading, writing, speaking and listening. 

The course can be delivered as a general class for all students or can be delivered specifically for your organisation and tailored to suit your needs.
